His runway collections never fall short to "wow" the fashion industry year after year. Most recently he received the lifetime achievement award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America in 2010 along side hitting $100 Billion in sales this year.
Now, you could imagine when I had heard Joan Kors would be coming to the store the first thing that came to mind was what am I going to wear. So of course I immediatley ran to my closet and pulled out my favorite piece in my wardrobe. None other than my Michael Kors deep raspberry printed sheath dress worn with nothing less than my classic black leather Christian Louboutin pumps accompanied by my diamond earrings and fabulous diamond cocktail ring to top it off. This sheath dress is from his Fall 2009 Collection and its still just as fabulous as it was back than as it is today. That is one of the many reasons why I love Michael Kors's collections, every piece is timeless. He really understands a woman's body and how to really accentuate their best assets. Each piece is designed impeccably and what is even better is that his designs are not limited to a woman with a small frame his sizes range from 0 to 14. Thus, if you are the working woman having a Michael Kors sheath dress is a must have in your wardrobe. It can be compared to wearing a power suit, I promise as soon as you slip on one of his sheath dresses you will understand what I am talking about! Michelle Obama is a big supporter of the Michael Kors sheath dress you can catch her in his designs often when she goes on speaking engagements, hence the fact that it is the ultimate power dress! Not only did she chose to wear a Michael Kors dress for her Official White House picture she additionally wore it for the front cover of the "O, The Oprah Magazine".
