Meet Andrea Lieberman, Designer of A.L.C.

Wow, what a great PA event we had at work today. Andrea Lieberman, designer of A.L.C. graced us with her presence and gave us true insight to her inspirations for her collections. She maintained a day job while styling on the side using it as a creative outlet that spiraled into the career she has to day. After many years of styling Jennifer Lopez, Madonna and Gwen Stefani and even helping Gwen launch her L.A.M.B line it eventually inspired her to start a line of her own. Its obvious from her collections that her inspiration and ideas stem from styling these fantastic fashion forward women and allowing her to make them her muses! Additionally, her inspiration is drawn from color palettes which is easily seen in each collection. She really wanted to create sophisticated must-haves that you love enough to want to wear again and again for years to come, and I must say she has really mastered that after seeing how she styles the same piece so many different ways. You can pretty much take any one of her pieces and go from day to night, from "beach to bar" and from work to a night out with the girls! The collections are comprised of daring silhouettes, chic, modular separates and perfectly engineered basics. Her customers are of a very wide range of woman from all walks of life along with her sizes ranging from 0-12, which of course in Designer Collections is rare. Furthermore, the price points are very reasonable especially considering the fabrications are from Italy and the yarn is from Japan.

My clients had the rare opportunity to try on samples from the A.L.C Summer 2011 runway collection and the second delivery of the Spring 2011 Collection. These pieces flew out of our doors and with so many pre-orders I don't think we will even have any pieces from the Summer Collection to place on the floor! All the clients loved her, she was so down to earth and relatable, it was a blast getting input from her on how she would uniquely style her own pieces. Her style is a breath of fresh air, she has this attitude of "I wear it just how I like it", and it totally works. You can really mix and match her pieces from all different seasons giving them a fresh take even though they may be from seasons past.

I have always been a fan of A.L.C but after today I am totally a groupie! :) I fell in love with many pieces from the Summer Collection and re-fell in love with pieces from the Pre-Spring Collection that we have had for while. I have one of the skirts from the Pre-Spring 2011 Collection and have already styled it so many different ways in my wardrobe. See below!

Today, I styled it casual with just a great white silk blouse, smoke patent leather Joan & David pumps and then later changed into my favorite Vera Wang nude flats! Worn with a silver cocktail ring and diamond stud earrings to give it the outfit a little glam.

Favorite piece from Summer 2011 Collection:

To complete the look I would style this dress with these accessories:

Simon Sabbage Necklace
Jimmy Choo Sparkle Sandal

I know there will be pieces I will be dreaming about tonight! Everyone needs a little A.L.C. in their wardrobe, trust it will become one of your favorites no matter which piece you chose you cannot go wrong, so what are you waiting for?? :)

Until next time stay styled right! xoxo FSR
