The best medicine in this world is a mother's hug and the second best is other natural remedies. I have always been a firm believer in a more natural approach to medicine. Before both girls ever came home from the hospital my cabinet was already stocked with all the most natural lotions, cough syrups, rash cream and much more. What we instill in our children from the beginning will affect them for the rest of their lives so why not give them the best chance at success and allow their bodies to heal naturally by taking the least invasive approach.

One of my favorite brands when it comes to all things natural is Maty's. Unlike many other products labeled "natural", Maty's really is ALL NATURAL by not using any synthetics, petroleum, hydrogenated oils, or hidden ingredients; giving me the confidence that I am choosing the best for my family. Thankfully, since Kennedy was born she has only been sick a few times and McKenna has yet to catch any bugs and I attribute that to instilling good healthy habits in both girls. The one thing both girls have in common is super sensitive skin. Thus, Maty's All Natural Baby Ointment and Maty's Organic Baby Diaper Rash Relief Ointment have been lifesavers since McKenna was born. When you bring home your new bundle of joy whether it is your first or fifth figuring out what your baby needs will always be different. McKenna does not have eczema like Kennedy did when she came home but she does have abnormally dry skin and gets a diaper rash easily so using both these products have allowed for us to enjoy our day more and get better rest at night. I can look back over the last 7 months of McKenna's life and remember countless sweet moments because she was happy and healthy. Nothing better than a happy baby that fills the house with so much joy. So if you are pregnant or have little ones in your home I definitely recommend trying this brand as I have had nothing but great experiences with all the products they offer. You can add Maty's baby bundle to your Amazon cart now by clicking HERE and be sure to follow Maty's on social media @Maty's (IG) and @Matyshp (FB).

I may not be a new mom technically however, having a baby for the second time still feels like my first time in many ways. Because new developments about baby products come out constantly and they get better year after year there is always more to learn and new products to buy. It can be hard sifting through the products that you actually need and ones that are just nice to have. And of course there is not any one size fits all or even most. Every baby is different because like you and me we all like different things. They also have different skin reactions to products as well so it is always trial and error to figure out what works best. With that said I was super excited to receive this Babblebox full of goodies for mom's like myself. It was stocked with goodies for myself and for little Miss McKenna Reign. Now lets take a in-depth look below at each item in the box!

One of the first items I was super excited about was Baby Magic; they have been around for decades and all their products are sulfate, paraben and dye free. These products definitely live up to their name; true baby magic. :) Every night we have a routine for McKenna before bedtime which includes a baby massage, spa music and of course her favorite boob milk hehe. We started using the Calming Lotion and let me tell you McKenna had the biggest smile on her face as she cooed in delight relaxing into dreamland. It has a subtle sent of Chamomile and Lavender and even locks in the moisture all night long. It pairs perfectly for when she takes a bath and gets to soak in the Calming Baby Bath. Who wouldn't love bath time when the water is just at the right temperature and you get washed with the perfect sweet scent to calm you down with a tear-free formula. In the morning we have been loving the Gentle Baby Lotion as well. With Aloe and rich vitamins it leaves the skin feeling hydrated and as smooth as a baby's bottom; literally! :) And right now they are partnering with Baby2Baby for the month of September for Baby Safety Month giving a portion of proceeds from the purchases of the items listed above to the foundation. Nothing like a company that gives back especially one that gives to an organization that provides for children that are living in poverty ages 0-12 years old with basic necessities.

Next up in the box is the Disney Lullaby App. We are missing Disney so much these days so I am loving that this brings a little Disney magic into our home. :) Nothing like a sweet Disney Lullaby to make baby girl fall asleep for mid-afternoon naps... now that is true Disney magic. She will definitely be a Disney musical pro by the time we go back to the park. If you are a Disney lover like me then you need this app in your life! It might even soothe you to sleep (it happened to me a few times..shhhh don't tell hubby!) You can download the app HERE and thankfully it is available on EVERY streaming device. The app is even integrated with Philips Pregnancy+ and Baby+.

Baby Banana has been around since 2001 as a family owned business creating its first product the Baby Banana toothbrush. Since then they evolved that concept adding new products including the Magical Dragon, Magical Unicorn Training Toothbrush (which is McKenna's favorite) and the Lil' Squish Jellyfish. Her first two teeth broke through at 4 months old so having these tethers have been great as she has been teething since early on. The Magical Dragon is dual sided allowing the hardest days for baby to still have their gums soothed by using this. The Magical Unicorn Training Toothbrush is great as well with the horn being the focal point allowing for baby to go to town on it and slowly learn how to brush their teeth with it. Now the Lil' Squish Jellyfish is the most advanced of them all as it doubles as a teether and a rattle. McKenna is able to grip is so easily with the tentacles and rattle it to her delight she is in sound and touch heaven. You can shop now by using code FALL50 to get 50% off.

How sweet is this My First Horoscope Book, Illustrated by Rachel McAllister. Like most parents we all wonder what our little bundle of joy will be like and usually try to see what our little ones horoscope will be when they are born. It is the perfect gift to receive or give to all parents. I love that it is a board book with the cutest illustrations to captivate babies and toddlers. It even has a place to put babies birthday and sign.

Now for the mamas! Here are our goodies...

One thing that is talked about often when having a baby is deciding if you are going to breastfeed, formula feed or a combination of the two. For myself I chose to breastfeed both girls because of the many benefits it provided for them and myself. Now with that said breastfeeding is not always an easy task and can be quite intimidating your first go around. So I love that Simplifed offers a breastfeeding consultation with a international board certified lactation specialist to support you through your breastfeeding journey whenever you need it. They are there to support you in whatever phase you are in with no judgement. Knowledge is power and when having a baby the more you know the easier things are especially starting out. So many women give up in the beginning of their breastfeeding journey because it gets to hard or they lack the help they need. So this is such a great space to ask your questions and help you along your journey to hopefully get to your breastfeeding goals. Use code "KEYESTOSTYLE-Simplibox10 to receive 10% off your initial 30 or 60 minute consultation.

One thing I have definitely learned being a mom is that taking your vitamins is so important. So I was super excited to try these Get Up and Go B-12 Fast Dissolve Tabs by Pink Products. They ignite your life and tastebuds with a burst of berry flavor combined with 5000 mcg of Vitamin B12 and amino acid L-Carnitine.
When I first became a mom I was all about making our home a super safe space for baby which meant first and foremost looking at all our cleaning products and making sure they were non-toxic. These Auto-Dish Detergent Pods from Lemi Shine definitely passed that test. These pods leave the dishes sparkly clean with zero toxic residue and smelling citrus fresh. They can be found nationwide including Lemi Shine, Amazon, Walmart and many more.

Now that I am here I could not imagine life any other way. Becoming a mother to not only one but two girls is such an overwhelming feeling. The responsibility I feel raising two girls is like nothing I have ever felt. I am constantly battling the feeling of doubt and confidence daily. The only way for confidence to outweigh the doubt is to be ok to mess up and learn from the mistakes. There is no book on how to be the perfect mother so all I can do is promise to give them my best daily and love them unconditionally no matter what. My will for them is to become two strong, independent, thoughtful, loving and confident women who will never give up on their dreams.

I would be lying if I said being a mother is easy but one thing is for sure it is so rewarding. Watching Kennedy progress daily in school and how she cares for her little sister is such a heart warming feeling. Before McKenna was born I thought for sure being a mother of two would turn my world upside down but in reality it has turned my world right side up. They say that when you have a second child your heart just expands and wow were they right. I thought I never could love another child the way I love Kennedy but I can say without a doubt now that the love I have for McKenna is exactly the same. So if you are considering expanding your family go for it... you will never regret it! :)

Right before giving birth to McKenna we did a super special maternity photoshoot capturing the last moments before we became a family of four. It definitely goes down as one of my most favorite shoots to date. What I made sure to do was include Kennedy and allow her to be apart of it as much as she wanted. When we got the photos back I was in awe of the love I saw she already had for her sister. Our photographer Candice Swanson really captured the sweetest moments and brought out the best in all of us. Ever since I was a little girl I loved dressing up just like my dolls in twinning outfits and now I get to do it with my live little doll. lol Thankfully, Kennedy loves to twin with me (hopefully that lasts a long time!), so anytime I find a brand that offers matching mommy and me attire it is a total must. Especially if it involves leggings! haha

And well being a woman and packing light is just not easy to do..am I right ladies? I always ended up packing one big bag that weighed over weight Kennedy has always traveled since she could walk with a little bag of her own but now that she is turning 4 in a month having her own actual luggage was necessary. When the two pieces first arrived in the mail Kennedy was so excited that she got to have her own big girl luggage and that it matched mommy's (oh, and not to mention they were hot pink!). It wasn't until this past weekend we finally got to put them to use and I have to say they were perfect! Kennedy was able to not only pack her own luggage but also push it thanks to the spinner style. We were able to fit everything we needed in both sizes and keep everything organized which is always great when traveling. Watching her be able to push her own luggage with a big smile on her face was so great. My little girl is growing up right before my eyes...and becoming quite the little traveler too! I can't wait for our next trip together with our cute pink luggage!

Half the time I never know what to buy for the gift. Yes of course I can grab something off the registry but I always feel that it's so impersonal and I would rather give a gift with meaning and something that will keep on giving. If that sounds like you too...than read on!

When it comes to putting the perfect gift box together for a mom to be or a child's birthday look no further than Incredibundles for all your gifting needs! These boxes are a super modern twist on gift baskets; not only does the box look super nice it is reusable and totally stylish to even place as decor in a child's room. From diapers to toys to books and sleep necessities Incredibundles has you covered. What I really dig is the fact you can give a gift that keeps on giving for a whole year! Each month you could have diapers delivered to your best girlfriend in a gorgeous box or books that grow with their child monthly; it really does not get better than that.

What I also really loved is that you can also create a custom bundle based on the child's age and likes. Since Kennedy is turning 4 in just two months I decided it was time to switch out some of her books that she has had for the last few years and get new ones that can grow with her for the next year! For just $100 bucks I was able to snag 11 books! When the box arrived Kennedy was so excited she knew just by looking at the fun box that it was for her! As she opened it up her eyes lit up so big and could not believe how many books were in the box; she said "mom there are so many books, I cannot wait to read them!" Now a gift like that just makes your heart melt.

Kennedy is used to wearing panties all day; so finding something comfortable with protection at night has been a challenge. She is like most toddlers picky and very verbal with what she likes and doesn't. Thus, I have been on the hunt looking for the latest and greatest diapers to meet our needs. Luckily, we stumbled upon Kroger Comforts™ Diapers and they are exactly what we have been searching for. Not only do they absorb well with up to 12 hours of protection, they are not bulky and they do not bother her sensitive skin thanks to the hypoallergenic liner that is dye and fragrance free. She is now a happy camper and does not mind wearing her "nighttime panties". I look forward to the day when she does not need them at all but until then I am happy that we are down to one diaper a night thanks to the Comforts™ Diapers coming to the rescue.

And if you are anything like me once you find a brand you like you start to wonder about the rest of their products. So I ventured out and tried their wipes as well. And wow was I nicely surprised with the softness, how it moisturized the skin without being drying and most of all it did not irritate her skin thanks to the aloe it contains and avoiding harsh chemicals to make these wipes. We use wipes daily around here because let's face it toddlers are messy and wipes are literally a necessity for every sane mother! :) From wiping sticky fingers, cleaning her face and even wiping down toys these wipes past the test. They even have flushable wipes which I totally love because she is able to really go to the bathroom on her own without me and I know everything is getting clean safely!

Leap! the latest heartwarming animated family adventure movie is out now and what a super cute and encouraging movie that teaches young children to go for their dreams. I believe dancing is a great way for children to build confidence and learn discipline. Kennedy has been dancing since she could walk and what a difference it has made in everything she does. She was very she at first but as the weeks went on she began to really shine and love to dance to the beat of the music. I am so excited to be supporting such a wonderful cause and get to be apart of a great event. Lionsgate has partnered with the non-profit organization, FOOTLOOSE, to gather donations of new and gently used dance shoes to help aspiring dancers in need. On November 16th, from 6p-8p PST, Lionsgate will be hosting an event in which they will be presenting FOOTLOOSE with the shoe donations. I wanted to help support this social good project, by encouraging donations from my readers. If you have new or gently used dance shoes you are willing to donate, you'll find the address to send them to below. You can also follow along the donation event on social media via #LeapMovie and #LeapForFootloose.

Featuring all-star voice talent led by Elle Fanning (Maleficent), alongside Nat Wolff (The Fault in Our Stars) and Maddie Ziegler (The Book of Henry), with Mel Brooks (Spaceballs), featuring Carly Rae Jepsen (singer-songwriter of the hit song “Call Me Maybe”) and Kate McKinnon (“Saturday Night Live”), Leap! is a colorful and imaginative story about an orphan girl who is determined to follow her dream of becoming a ballerina. Filled with irresistible original music, Leap! features the hit track “Cut to the Feeling.”

Eleven-year-old orphan Félicie (Fanning) has one dream — to go to Paris and become a dancer. Her best friend, Victor (Wolff), an imaginative, exuberant boy with a passion for creating, has a dream of his own — to become a famous inventor. In a leap of faith, Victor and Félicie leave their orphanage in pursuit of their passions. But there’s a catch: Félicie must pretend to be the child of a wealthy family in order to gain admittance to the prestigious and competitive Opera Ballet School in Paris. And with no professional dance training, she quickly learns that talent alone is not enough to overcome the ruthless, conniving attitudes of her fellow classmates, led by the devious Camille Le Haut (Ziegler). Determined to succeed, Félicie finds her mentor in the tough and mysterious school custodian, Odette (Jepsen), who, along with Victor’s encouraging friendship, help her reach for the stars.

Leap! will be available on Digital November 7 and on Blu-ray, DVD and On Demand November 21.

I've partnered with Bloggin' Mamas for this social good campaign. I may receive movie-related promotional items or experiences; but all opinions expressed are my own and no monetary compensation was received.
Keyes to Style tag:keyestostyle.com,2005:Post/47787812017-08-15T12:39:03-07:002017-08-15T12:45:29-07:00Potty Time THE KEYES way!
As our toddlers continue to grow bigger so do our tasks as being their parents. I had dreaded potty training ever since Kennedy was an infant. I thought how am I ever going to get this little girl to know how to go potty without having a million accidents first. I looked around our house and thought this is not going to be fun we have solid carpet through out our whole house. What I found on the internet basically freaked me out lol in a nutshell it said "let them run naked for three days and basically hope for the best that she doesn't have a bunch of accidents while taking them to the potty every 15 min". All I saw in my head was pee constantly on the carpet or worse poop and me having to clean it up with my bare hands. I thought oh my gosh we will never last a day at Disney or the mall; but I knew eventually I had to give into the idea and figure it out. After, I pondered all these thoughts I came to the conclusion that the best way to go about this stage was to wait for her to tell me when she was ready because I definitely was not and was in no rush whatsoever. Changing a diaper was simple and convenient, only hurting my pockets a bit which I was ok with. Many people would ask when are you going to train her or is she trained etc. And my answer was always we will train when she is ready. I mean think about it you cannot force your child to walk they have to want to walk; eventually they will figure it out it's just natural. So I figured this approach would be best especially since I read forcing them into it can backfire.

As I waited for Kennedy to let me know when she was ready I started at about 2 years old by just familiarizing her with the toilet. I stuck a small potty that looked just like a real one in each bathroom. Yes EACH bathroom. I figured the more she saw them the better. Of course as kids do they always follow you into the bathroom because they are curious and want to be around you. So after a while Kennedy started to sit on her little potty and began to just get acquainted with it; I never made a big deal out of it.

Then when she reached about 2.5 years old I decided to get a potty chart and a book about going potty. Of course it had to be a "Princess Potty" book. I felt at this stage she could read about how little girls go potty and that she would be rewarded for sitting on the potty, taking her pants down and washing her hands. I also purchased pull ups that when wet would give her a cooling feeling. This allowed for her to acknowledge she had gone potty and after a while she hated that feeling of being wet. This started to trigger her wanting to be trained.

A few months before she turned 3 years old she came to me and said "Mom, I want to wear big girl panties like you!". At that moment I knew it was the time to finally kick things into high gear. Below is how I then trained her in 3 days time! :) Use the method below ONCE your child has shown interest and wants to be trained.

POTTY TRAIN THE KEYES WAY:

Make it a very EXCITING time. Take your child to the store and let them pick out their favorite new undies. Buy at least 2 packs to start with.

BUY ESSENTIALS: Carpet cleaner, rubber gloves, stickers, chart (you can make one or they have pre-made ones and treats.

UNDERWEAR. These are big girl/boy undies and we do not pee or poop in them. We use the potty.

PORTABLE POTTY: For long rides, trips to the park or even running errands this seat will really come in handy. I can't tell you how many times we were at a food drive-thru or on the freeway and she told me she had to go. I literally pulled over at the first exit found any parking lot I could find. It made living the house so much easier and gave me peace of mind that I wouldn't have to search for a restroom if she needed to go quickly. (I still keep this in my car incase we have an emergency!) It can be scary to use an adult potty for them; so this makes it perfect for them to sit on. It packs nicely in a diaper bag and I put it in a cute bag! Shop this item HERE.

THROW AWAY diapers. Let your child see you throwing the diapers in the trash so they know there is no option of using them again.

PREPARE THE GOODIES. All ideas are optional but I found the more fun I made it the easier it was!

REWARD. This was key for training. Buy your child's favorite treat and explain to them that every time they go potty they will get a treat. (Kennedy loves suckers so I bought a big bag of them and I told her every time she went potty she would get a sucker. This made it pretty easy because she would try to go all the time so she could get a sucker.)

STICKER CHART: Not only do you want to reward them with a treat but making a chart of their progress allows for them to visually see how they are doing. And seriously what kid does not love stickers!

POTTY STICKERS: Put a sticker in the potty seat and tell them there will be a surprise picture when they go! This made it very fun and exciting. You can find these HERE.

STAY HOME for at least 3 solid days.

Put underwear on and enjoy doing things at the house. Just make it fun, remember they will go when they are ready.

I did not set a timer I actually just allowed her to let me know if she had to go. Sometimes I would ask her but for the most part she went when she needed. I think this attributed to the fact that I waited until she was ready and she was enticed to go more often because she knew she would get a treat.

Of course the will have accidents to just be prepared to clean up a few messes. Try not to get upset and let them know it's ok. Put new underwear on and move on.

For poop it was just the same. I know some parents find their kids are afraid to poop in the potty. But I think if they have no where else to go eventually they will go. Kennedy went in her diaper one time and she freaked. She started pooping in the potty after that and never had an accident again.

After, 3 days if you feel they are ready go ahead and venture out for a short trip. Don't forget your 2 portable potty items and bring an extra outfit just incase. Once, you have conquered a few short trips you should be good to be out for the day. By day 6 I ventured to Disney!

Sometimes kids can regress or may have an accident once in a while but these steps proved to really work and I hope you find them to be helpful for you in the process of training your mini me! I found that really the key to successful potty training is waiting until they are ready and being ready yourself. As well as making sure it is FUN and not going back to diapers after you have started the training.

Good luck everyone and stay stylish while doing it! Ps. I would love to hear your feedback on how it goes so leave a comment below!

Stay tuned for step 2 in the next blog on OVERNIGHT TRAINING.
Keyes to Style tag:keyestostyle.com,2005:Post/46571112017-07-13T19:08:12-07:002017-07-13T19:08:12-07:005 KEYS TO A CONFIDENT TODDLER
Many who meet Kennedy are amazed at how well-spoken, friendly and social she is for such a young age. Her confidence is obvious and thanks to my tips below you too can help build your toddler to have the confidence they need in a world where many will try to tear them down. "Parents need to fill their child's bucket of self-esteem so high that the rest of the world can't poke enough holes to drain it dry." - Alvin Price

As a mother we all want our children to be outgoing and confident in who they are; however many of us may not know how to help them achieve this. Many books you read before and after your child is born is how to help them sleep, great foods for them to eat, how to potty train etc. But what about helping our children become well adjusted in society? Ever see a cute kid in a store and say hi while in the grocery line and they immediately hide behind their parent? Or maybe you see your child try to interact with a another child but that child seems distint or not sure how to interact back? Or maybe you see your child with others and they just seem timid? All of these reactions may be the result of your child or another child not being confident in who they are. Now you might be baffled in even how to start going about creating confidence in your toddler but not to fret because below are 5 keys to helping do just that...

SPEAK NORMAL
"The way you speak to your children is the single greatest factor in shaping their personalities and self-confidence." Since, Kennedy was little I have always treated her as if she could understand me; I never really babied her if that makes sense. There was none of the baby talk going on in our house, we spoke to her as if she was an adult even though she was only days, weeks or months old. Now that she is almost three years old her ability to speak is well beyond her years. It still blows me away daily how well she can communicate with me. I contribute this much to how I have spoke to her over the past three years as well as reading books together daily. I strongly believe because she is able to communicate what she wants it allows her to be confident in herself. No matter where we are many people gravitate towards her because of how she carries herself. Even at her young age she walks and talks with so much confidence. When we are at the check out stand at the grocery store, at the hair salon, church etc she is asked constantly what her name is, how old she is, what her favorite color is and more. And unless she just isn't in the mood her responses are always kind and not only will she tell you her name and everything else she is asked but she will start engaging with them; asking their name. Then proceed to ask how they are doing, where they are going or anything else she can think of. She will start carrying a whole conversation with anyone willing to converse with her. Afterwards, the adult always looks at me in disbelief that she is so well spoken wondering how she can only be two years old. I walk away with this feeling of proudness because I know Kennedy is confident in who she is and doesn't need to be shy and hide behind me when adults try to interact with her. She stands there proud and able to express herself. Now of course it takes way more than just speaking to your child like normal but it definitely plays a key role.

SHOW UNCONDITIONAL LOVE
"The way you talk to your children become their inner voice." Have you ever noticed a difference between a person who came from a loving home vs. one where they weren't told as often how much they were loved and shown love in physical ways as well as emotional. Both my husband and I came from loving homes where we were shown unconditional love and so it was just natural for us to do that with Kennedy. No matter what at the end of the day she is our baby and no matter what she does the love we have for her will never change. We constantly show her love which not only does she show us love back but in turn she shows love to others. She gives hugs (if she wants) and is caring when it comes to her friends. She knows she is loved and even if she does something wrong she may be punished but our love stays the same. I encourage you each day to show your toddler love whether it be with an extra kiss, hug or just telling them you love them. I always make sure after she has a time out not only do we discuss why she was on timeout but I give her a hug and tell her I love her. Always leaving things on a positive note.

HAPPY HOME
"Your presence in your child's life affects his or her confidence." Did you know that how you interact with your spouse directly affects your child? This can either help or hinder your child in their personal feelings about themselves. Showing respect and love to your spouse in turn creates a happy and confident toddler allowing them to feel secure and safe in their home. It is amazing how something so simple can truly make such a difference. My husband and I work hard to take arguments we may have into the other room and always show a united front. Make sure you do activities together as a family at least once a week if not more. Family time I believe is the most important time.

PRAISE THEM
"Build up your child with words. Don't tear them down." Do you find yourself focusing more on the bad than the good? If my daughter does something wonderful she knows I am going to jump up and down give her a big hug, a high five and most likely a ton of loud claps. I do my best to focus on the good not the bad. If she does something wrong depending on what it is we talk about it, maybe have a timeout if the crime fits sort a speak or i just take care of whatever happened and don't make a big deal out of it. Kids are kids and just like us they make mistakes but focusing so heavily on it only brings their spirit down so instead uplift them when they do good and focus on that. Your children desperately want to please you and make you proud so when they do; make it exciting for them, this will most definitely help them become more confident in themselves.

ALLOW THEM TO MAKE THEIR OWN CHOICES
"Build wisdom and confidence in others by forcing them to think and decide for themselves." Do you find yourself never giving your child options? Just telling them what to do. But what if you gave them atleast two options. This shoe or that shoe. This fruit or that fruit. This show or this show. It is easy as a parent to just tell them no or just tell them you will wear this and you will eat this. And more than not you will find there will be push back. Children have their own mind and want to be able to make their own decisions. So as often as i can I always give Kennedy atleast two options if not more this allows her to have her own voice. She feels she is in control building confidence in her decision making and allowing to feel independent. It is amazing that the smallest things can make the biggest difference.

As they got older you thought you had the hang of it until they got into the toddler phase and for some it was an easy transition but for others being in a big bath tube was a bit scary and bath time was not as fun as it once was. So finding new toys, products and things to help smooth the transition can become like nightly research. I was definitely one of the ones on the hunt for anything that would make my finicky toddler excited to take a bath. Luckily, it did not take to long before I discovered floating letters, lots of bubbles and colored water would do the trick! Recently, I discovered a few new additions for bath time and Kennedy is absolutely loving them. Subscription services have become the new trend lately and I am loving this one by BUBBLE BATH BOXES. Each month they send a box of new bath products that will be sure to put a smile on your child's face! This month was a box full of fun Bath Confetti, an awesome bath bomb, turtle toy, two bubble wands, calming body spray and fun glow in the dark sticks! If you are needing to keep bath time fun this is the perfect service for you because each month you will receive something new and different to spark your child's interest over and over again! Make sure to check out her shop; she can make your child's favorite thing come to life in towel form and be sure to make getting out of the bath a breeze!

So if bath time has been tough in your household I hope this helps to make it a little easier moving forward! :)

XOXO,

KTS Keyes to Style tag:keyestostyle.com,2005:Post/45304452016-12-29T21:31:12-08:002022-01-16T03:36:58-08:00CREATING AN INDEPENDENT TODDLERWhen I came home from the hospital with my new bundle of joy reality set in and I started to think while Kennedy was sleeping peacefully how I was going to raise a strong independent woman. You know the saying "all I need to know I learned in kindergarten" well I think that truly applies to how you raise your child from day one. My husband and I have always been firm believers in helping our daughter be independent as she can be with each stage in her life. would like to be. If I had a dollar for every time someone said we are spoiling our daughter we would be millionaires. What someone considers spoiling we consider it to be creating an independent toddler. This goes all the way back to how I was raised and today I am so appreciative of how I was raised. I was raised to have a mind of my own, to voice my opinion, to decide good from bad on my own and to show off my personality through my wardrobe. Kennedy may only be 2.5 years old but let me tell you she is smarter, more independent and a total social butterfly compared to other children her age. And I don't say that to put down anyone I just attribute that to how my husband and I are raising her. So here is a list of the top 5 things you can do to create an independent toddler.

ALLOW THEM TO MAKE THEIR OWN DECISIONS: I always give Kennedy options when it comes to what she eats. For example, would you like an apple or a banana? Or would you like toast with jelly or almond butter? I am still in control of what she eats but she feels she is by making the choice between the two. I don't just tell her this is what you are going to eat. When it is getting late I will ask her; Kennedy are you ready for bed? Usually she will say no not yet. I will respond with ok you can either watch a tv show for 20 minutes or we can have a longer story time. Again, she is able to make her choice. This is allowing her to make a decision for herself allowing her to develop her opinion and what she would like to do so she feels it is her choice and things are not forced upon her.

SHOW THEM HOW: It is amazing how big of a helper Kennedy is around the house. She knows how to put away the dishes, and load the dishwasher, she knows how to separate the laundry and put them in the washer and then put things in the dryer. She knows where the hangers are and how to hang them correctly. She knows if she needs a diaper where to get it. She knows how to turn on and off the tv. She knows how to get her own water, her own snacks and much more. Now how did she learn these things you ask? I showed her instead of doing these things while she slept; I included her in the process so that way when she grows up she knows the basics of how to care for a household and can take care of herself. These are life lessons I am teaching as young as I can.

READ ADVANCED BOOKS: I totally believe in reading books their age but I also believe children can understand way more than we give them credit for. Thus, my husband and I decided about a year ago when Kennedy turned 1 that we would read a novel to her at night. Since Kennedy loves Disney we decided on Disney novels. We read about a chapter a night and I swear this is why she is able to speak as if she was 4 years old. We are now nearing the end of our second novel.

TEACH THEM MANNERS: Since she started speaking her first words I have instilled in her having manners. Please and thank you even as adults always go a long way. It's rare to find well-mannered kids and I find in our house it is a necessity. She can't have what she wants until she says please or thank you. She is now to the point she will remind us. lol It's also important for them to know their own age, name and how to ask others their name. Because of this she loves going up to people when we are out no matter their age and asking what their name is. Yes, at 2.5 years old this little one can spark a conversation better than most adults I know.

DON'T DO IT FOR THEM: Before I do anything for Kennedy I always see if she can do it for herself first. Whether its putting a lid on a cup, buckling her seat belt, putting on her clothes/shoes, doing her hair and much more. I try to always allow her to to try and do it herself first before I just go ahead and do it for her. 9 times out of 10 she gets excited that she gets to do it herself and it make take a few attempts or even days but eventually she figures it out and is so proud when she does. I know this one can get frustrating because maybe they end up spilling the drink, or they buckle the seat wrong or whatever but just know you are helping them and then once they try you can go back and do it correctly but the point is they tried to do it themselves.

So there you have it the top 5 ways to help create an independent toddler. I hope these are helpful tools and would love to hear your feedback on other ways in which you empower your child to be independent!

Until next time stay stylish and cool!

xoxo,
KTSKeyes to Style tag:keyestostyle.com,2005:Post/42966312016-07-27T03:22:03-07:002017-01-15T12:48:12-08:00THE TRAVELING MAMA; SURVIVAL GUIDEIsn't it funny how things in life come full circle. Do you remember being on a airplane at one time or another and hearing a screaming baby and then thinking to yourself "shut that kid up, doesn't their parents know how to make them quiet". And now years later here you are about to get on an airplane for the first time with your baby and those dreadful thoughts creep back into your mind. You are now hoping that you will NOT be that parent with the screaming child on the airplane. Or maybe this isn't your first time flying with a child but you WERE that parent with the screaming baby and now you are looking for tips. Well you are not alone trust me I felt exactly like you did, I was scrambling around on the internet looking for great tips and or advice on how to not only travel with a baby but travel alone (I know a scary thought right!). Now I will say that sometimes babies just cry and sometimes there is just nothing we can do about it but for the most part there are many tricks to making a baby happy and well it really is no different traveling on an airplane with one. So here is my survival guide to traveling with a baby or toddler on an airplane. Now there are some differences depending on age so i will break that down for you below! Oh and one more thing if you have not already booked your tickets I would try to travel at night if possible and get a window seat because they will most likely sleep on the plane if you travel at night and it is easier to get up on an aisle seat than anywhere else! :)

Step 1: GET ORGANIZED First and foremost we never want to be that frazzled mom so the more organized you are the more likely this will not be you! So first of all you need to grab all important documents for traveling make sure you have babies or even toddlers birth certificate, now put those in your diaper bag in an accessible spot; not where that you have to dig around for it. Ok now that we have that out of the way you can now go grab one suitcase for you and one suitcase for your child. Yes you heard me right ONE each and that is it; if it does not fit in one bag you do NOT need it! You will also need one stroller (make sure to get travel bag because airplanes tend to bang them up); now in the beginning I was traveling with my full size stroller which was great with an infant but now that I have a toddler a umbrella stroller is sufficient and so much better when she wants to be carried instead of pushed around. I will talk later about what to check at the gate and what to check at the front desk later. So for now just grab all the items i have listed. And last but not least grab your diaper bag! You are now ready to begin packing! :) Ps. you will need your carseat but we will discuss that more later too!

Step 2: WHAT TO PACK I have always found it easier to pack for her first than me so I would recommend the same for you! Now since each of you have your own suitcase it will be easy to keep track of all your child's items. Now if you have more than one child I would recommend the same that each have their own suitcase. The reason I do this is I have found over time that by doing it this way it allowed for me to not only stay organized while traveling but it was just easier to keep her things in one place and mine in another (nothing gets lost). I even got her, her very own toiletry bag; this included her body wash, shampoo, conditioner, comb, finger nail clipper, tooth brush, tooth paste etc. Ps. I don't use a full size suitcase for her just a carry on but I still check it at the front desk when I check in! So now its time to actually decide what to pack and how much. My recommendation is that you pack a 3 to 1 ratio; for every 3 outfits I would pack an extra one in case anything happens! Also, try your best to pack in outfits that are interchangeable. Meaning one pant with 2 shirts and 1 sweater for 2 dresses etc. Make the most out of each garmet. For accessories I would put those all together in one little bag of your choosing. :) See now that wasn't so bad was it... Now time to go pack your suitcase once you have done that you can move on to step 3!

Step 3: PACKING DIAPER BAG Now this is maybe one of the most important steps besides what you do when you get to the airport! But how you pack your diaper bag will determine whether you end up frazzled and that mom everyone is staring at on the plane or a well put together mama traveling with ease! So here is the big secret... ORGANIZE YOUR BAG and MAKE THINGS ACCESSIBLE. In your diaper bag you should have one blanket (if its too big to fold up you will need to just carry it on the plane), 1 carrier (I recommend a sling less bulky), pacifier with holding clip (this is a must so that darn thing does not get lost or worse fall on the floor in the airplane!), 2 toys (buy new ones to keep their interest on the plane longer do not show these toys until on the plane!), 1 book, snacks, liquid (yes you are allowed food and liquid when traveling with a child woohoo), diapers, wipes, gum, wallet and phone. Ok now that is all you really need so clean out those receipts, random hair ties and anything else that has built up in that bag! Also, when I was traveling with my daughter when she was an infant having a normal shoulder strap bag was easy but with a toddler it is a total pain so I recommend getting a backpack style instead! :) I love our JuJuBe!

Step 4: TAKE LESS Ok lets face it it is hard for us women to not over pack but trust me if you can learn how to pack less it will really make life easier for traveling! You can thank me later. Now that you have gotten organized and packed everything now I know you are going to hate me but I want you to go back thru everything and make sure everything you packed are things you NEED to bring. Now all the items that you do not NEED take out! Now, you should be left with not only your suitcase a little lighter but you have just lightened you overall load for traveling good job!

STEP 5: WEIGH YOUR BAGS This makes it so much easier than getting to the airport only to realize your bags are overweight and either you will end up paying extra or you will be that person trying to rearrange your items to fit under the weight limit moving them between bags. So let's just skip that and weigh them at home that way you know that it is one less thing to worry about. If you don't have a bag weigher you can pick one up at most home stores like Macys, Target, Bloomingdales pretty much anywhere that carries luggage should have one. Now if you are in a pinch just use your at home weigher. Weigh yourself and then weigh yourself with the bag and subtract! Make sure nothing weighs over 50 lbs, if it does well something has to come out! So try, try again until you get to the magic number on both bags!

Step 5: PACKING THE CAR & ARRIVING EARLY Now that everything is packed up let's get it in the car! Your suitcase, child's suitcase, diaper bag, stroller with travel bag and car seat (already in the car)! I would recommend getting their at least 2-3 hours early this leaves times for any hiccups along the way! You just never know when traveling with a child. This way you won't be in a rush and won't miss your flight.

Step 6: CHECKING IN So you made it congrats you are 25% of the way thru traveling with your child! haha Don't worry if you are already feeling overwhelmed it will get easier the more you do it! We travel almost every 3 months and have been traveling since she turned a month old mostly by ourselves and every time it gets a little easier. Now that you have arrived at the airport it is time to unload the car and get everything checked in. I recommend using your stroller like a cart! So unfold your stroller and stick your carseat in the basket area or in the seat if possible. Add your baby blanket on top and the stroller case too and don't forget to put your diaper bag on the hooks of the stroller! Now take your sling out and get your baby all snuggled on you! You should now be left with 2 suitcases which hopefully one can be attached to the other if you took a small one for your child! :) If you are traveling with a toddler I would grab a cart and just stick everything on it. You are set lets enter the airport! Phew... you made it to the check in stand! If you are traveling with an infant hang on to your stroller (unless you feel you do not need it but I liked having mine so I could be totally hands free of carrying any items thru the airport.) However, if you are traveling with a toddler I would check your stroller and all your bags! I would also recommend checking the carseat no matter what the age! It is just to cumbersome to lug it thru the airport and for what? You really will not need it.

Step 7: TSA So because you are traveling with a baby/toddler you will go together thru the screening and of course they will then check your bag because you will have either liquids and or snacks with you so just be prepared for that. It's pretty simple if they see you traveling alone they will help gather your belongings for you.

Step 8: BOARDING PLANE Well you are all checked in and now patiently waiting to board the plane. Usually I like to give myself an extra two hours when traveling with a child because you never know what could go wrong. So if you have spare time and are traveling with an infant I would try to get them to fall asleep ( and that will be whatever works for you and your child) and if you are with a toddler maybe go grab a bite to eat. When it is time to check in I would actually recommend not getting on until the end, be the last people to board and since you are not putting anything in storage your really do not need to get on early. I find the less time on the plane the better. Usually I was always able to get my daughter to fall asleep when she was young before we boarded now that she is older not a chance but I try to always travel at night that way she will fall asleep on the plane. So once you have finally boarded just try to get situated and again make everything accessible so your not digging for anything when you need it the most.

Step 9: FLYING Now that you are in the air just try to keep baby happy if they are awake! I was lucky enough to have her sleeping most the time and if she did wake up this was when I would pull out the new toys or book! It worked like a charm. Now that she is a toddler our toys have turned into my laptop lol but it works. I even got her, her very own kid safe headphones that won't play the sound too loud! Sometimes we needed to stretch our legs so we sometimes walk up and down the aisle saying hi to people; kids get restless and this way they get to move around for a bit. Also, when descending I would recommend trying to nurse or bottle feed your infant that way it is less strenuous on their ears. It is just like an adult chewing gum the movement of the jaw helps to pop any build up pressure in the ears.

Step 10: BAGGAGE CLAIM: One last tip once you get off the plane if you are traveling with a toddler make sure to grab a cart that way you can just pile everything on it! And if you checked your stroller at the gate make sure to grab it again at the gate.

Ok well there you have it 10 steps to traveling with a child! I hope this survival guide will help ease your stress about traveling and hopefully make it smooth sailing!

Wishing you happy and safe travels!
xoxo KTS

Keyes to Style tag:keyestostyle.com,2005:Post/41973072016-05-27T16:26:22-07:002017-01-15T12:48:11-08:00Pimp your Pram! Are you like me always wanting to have the latest and greatest? Obviously just like anything else in the market of products items are constantly improving each year with new models, new colors and more features of maybe a new or existing product. Now if you are like me sometimes this can be frustrating feeling like I want the newer model because it looks cooler or has a better feature. But being a parent is not cheap and wanting something new and actually buying it are two very different things. So instead of feeling like you need to sell your current stroller to get the newest version because you feel yours is outdated or your just bored with it you can keep it and customize it! Yes that's right customize your stroller ladies!! Who would have thought, right? Just like men love to customize their cars we can now customize what we use almost daily with our little ones!

You can customize anything from the grips on the handle bars, bag hooks, bumper bar, canopies, wheels, frame, lining and much more!
Now I guess you could say I have always had some customization to my stroller since i have had the sheep skin lining in Kennedy's stroller since birth but I have to give credit to my mother on that one! Can you believe she did that in my stroller too and that was about 25 years ago!

Since learning about this customized stroller world I have learned about a few awesome companies you can buy some products from to customize your stroller and I am sure there are more than I have listed here!

Lux & Leather has the best leather accessories for your stroller! If you want to feel like you are pushing a luxury stroller these accessories are for you!

Emasema has the best liner and canopy options when it comes to true customization. For example, I have a Baby Jogger City Select and I used a Bugaboo Donkey canopy on it! Depending on your stroller different canopies can fit on them. If you are on Facebook a great group to join for all your customization questions is StrollerQueen Stroller Swap. I was able to figure out what canopy fit on my City Select very easily!

So with all that said you can check out my customized stroller before and after! Instead of spending over $500 or more on a new stroller i spent $120 and made my stroller totally fun and chic!
BEFORE

And I mean quickly; my husband will drink two sick teas a day if not more combined with Dayquil, Wellness Formula. You name it and he is probably doing it. The philosophy in our household is... we have too much to do to be sick ("ain't no one got time for that")! And now as a mother it is no different because there is no worse feeling than when your child does not feel well so finding a cure quickly is always my goal. Especially when your child can not communicate how they are feeling or what is bothering them. So you just have to go with your gut and try different remedies hoping something works. With that said Kennedy got sick this week for the second time ever in her life, luckily I always keep my cabinet stocked with everything you can think of to get rid of any type of illness or sore. Because what is worse than your kid gets sick and now you have to go to the store in the midst of it all trying to figure out what they need. Or let alone you or your husband get sick and now you have to take your baby to the store to find a remedy for yourself. And let's face it ladies when the men are sick it's worse than when our children our sick! They are by far the biggest babies of them all so to keep my house running smoothly a stocked cabinet is a must.

So after much research and trial/error I have created my list of the top 11 items that you should keep in your medicine cabinet at all times thus preventing those late night frantic runs to the drug store! Also, I will note that I am all about home remedies and anyway to get rid of an illness the most naturally but sometimes good ol' medicine is just what the doctor prescribed!
Note these all are for children not what you should take as adults (although it is pretty similar), also I have posted the link for each item just click on the name:

Children Motrin: If your little one is running a fever this is the best fever reducer especially over Tylenol.

Life really does get crazy when your baby turns into a toddler! :) Anyways, as I reflect on how fast my daughter is growing each day I realize that her toys, interests and needs constantly change. In just one short year she has already evolved into the most smart little girl and along the way I found so many items really helped me over her months transitioning from baby to toddler! So below is my top 10 list of Kennedy and I's items we loved from 7 to 12 months!

1. Ergo 360 $185: So as she grew obviously she gained weight and my stretch wrap no longer worked for carrying her, so we transitioned with the Ergo 360! And wow what a difference it made. I love the 360 because she can face in our out and on my back as well as on my hip! Yes the price tag is maybe a little hefty but when you have a little one who wants to be held all the time it was the only thing that helped me get things around the house done or even on the go!

2. Fisher Price 3-1 Bounce-Stride & Ride Elephant $26: This was a great toy that we bought for her for Christmas she is 17 months now and still loves it! When she was younger she loved to sit on it and ride it. Then when she began to learn to walk it was the perfect toy to push around allowing her to gain balance and stamina! Now that she is walking she still loves to push it around, bounce on it and ride it! Definitely a must have!

3. Feeding Pouch Spoons $3: So for anyone that knows Kennedy knows that she LOVES and I mean LOVES pureed pouches! With that said these attachable spoons were a life savor when we were on the go which is basically all the time! Now she can just hold the pouches and suck on them but when she couldn't the spoon was such a great item to have!

4. Swim School Float $20: I am a total advocate that your child is never to young to learn to swim! With that said I started taking Kennedy in the pool at about 2 months old! She absolutely loved it well that's as long as the water was to the temperature she liked! :) I did not do a swim floaty right away but as soon as she could sit up on her own i stuck her in one and she totally loves it! I love this particular floaty because it distracts her if she does not want to be in the water at that moment and it also allows her to have a little freedom! Her daddy and i always pass her back and forth in it and spin her around! :)

5. Aveeno sunscreen $9: I am so picky when it comes to using product on Kennedy since she has super sensitive skin! Also, I am all about anything to make her more comfy and keep the germs away so this highchair cover comes in handy almost daily especially when shopping at grocery stores!

8. PotteryBarn Chair $100: I am not sure if it's because she thinks she is a total princess but this girl loves her custom chair. I tried Stride Rite seeming that I was told these were the best, however after looking at their shoe options I was totally disappointed in the styles and colors. Fortunately, we discovered Mini Melissa's which are not only comfy with extra cushion in them, easy to clean and they smell extra yummy they were/are very easy to walk in with a good amount of flexibility! Yes, the price is a little high but hey with that many pro's you can't beat it!

10. Fisher Price Roar 'n Ride Lion $30: For those long car rides or just the days she does not want to be in the car this little lion is awesome! And when I was pregnant i constantly was told "wow, you look great you are all baby". Yes maybe it had to do with the fact that I was fit prior to my pregnancy however if I had just ate whatever I wanted during my pregnancy and not worked out I would have been a lot bigger and not have bounced back as quick as I did. I know so many women want to be able to bounce back quickly after pregnancy, let's face it who doesn't want to be a hot new mom! Well ladies you are in luck because I am going to share all my secrets with you to be able to do the same thing I did. And my hope is that it works as well for you as it did for me. Yes you will have to put down that bowl of ice cream and yes you will have to turn off that TV but it will all be worth it, I promise! You will be thanking me later! So get ready to have a wonderful healthy pregnancy and let's make it as enjoyable as possible I mean come on you are baking a whole human being that is one hefty task to take on. So pat yourselves on the back for even starting this journey and let's have a healthy pregnancy because a healthy mama equals a healthy baby!

The picture on the left was taken at 39 weeks pregnant and the picture on the right was taken 2 months after Kennedy was born! MInd you I was unable to even work out yet since I had a c-section!

So in this healthy pregnancy journey there are 3 components I believe that will give you and your baby the best jump start to your new lives together! Eating right, exercising and preparing for the birth!

STAY HEALTHY

Many women have the misconception that when you are pregnant you are eating for two. Now yes in a way you are but in the sense of how much you should be eating you are really eating for ONLY ONE almost your whole pregnancy. I know that if more women thought this way a lot of those who gain extra weight above and beyond what is needed would not have. So ladies throw that idea out the window and eat to be healthy not to gain weight. Because eating empty calories is not helping you or your growing little one it is just making you FAT. In actuality it can create complications in your pregnancy. During pregnancy your body becomes more efficient and is able to absorb more nutrients that you eat, thus just eating normally will be enough. It is so important to be eating the right foods to help your little one grow properly and to also give you constant energy when sometimes you feel like you have none. Also, they are definitely foods you CANNOT eat while pregnant and foods you SHOULD eat! I will break this all down for you below!

How much should you eat you ask? (the calories quoted are just an estimation and depending if you are over or under weight when you became pregnant may change these numbers)
FIRST TRIMESTER: Eat NO extra calories a day. You should not be over eating, trying to gain weight by stuffing your face or anything else like that. Just eat as if you were not pregnant nothing needs to change right now your little peanut is very tiny!
SECOND TRIMESTER: Eat 340 extra calories a day.. Ok, now a FEW extra calories does not mean go to the buffet line twice thru lol. It means on a given day have 1 extra apple or a small sandwich.
THIRD TRIMESTER: Eat 450 extra calories a day. This many calories can be found in a few glasses of low-fat milk, a tuna sandwich or a handful of sunflower seeds. See ladies no where did I say a bag of potato chips, two cans of soda etc. Stick to healthy items as your additional calories.

Now that we know how many calories we should be having every day let me share with you the things you should be staying away from and thing you should be stocking your fridge with while on this amazing journey.

DO-NOT EAT:
1. Raw Fish
2. Raw eggs
3. Blue cheese
4. Limit fried foods
5. Limit your deserts and soda intake (the way I helped myself from eating all the junk is I just would not buy it so that way when I was at the house craving something sweet I had no choice but to have fruit since I did not have any junk foods)

EAT:
1. Things that are as close to their natural state as possible
2. Always chose whole grain or brown rice over anything white (and that should be regardless of pregnancy)
3. Green vegetables
4. Protein
5. Fruit
6. Fiber Cereal (I liked raisin bran)
7. Yogurt (greek is the best)
8. Granola
9. Drink a ton of water
10. Glass of RED wine (I know this may sound strange however after much research I did find out that the occasional glass of red wine was perfectly ok to have and is actually encouraged in Europe)

VITAMINS: (this is the list of vitamins I took while I was pregnant now you really don't need all of these but I highly recommend them)
1. Pre-natal
2. Fish Oil (great for baby brain development)
3. Biotin

STAY FIT

So now that you are eating all the right foods and at the right amounts it is important to maintain your physical shape as well even though your belly is growing and yes you may gain weight in other places does not mean you just let yourself go. If you work at it you can maintain a healthy weight and look great while pregnant! I loved exercising when I was pregnant because it always made me feel great after and gave me a boost of energy for the day. If you can I definitely recommend working out in the morning and not at night. Now I am definitely not a big fan of a normal gym but what I did love was pre-natal yoga. I met other great mommies who were on the same journey as me and it was a great way to work out and relax all at the same time. So do something you enjoy doing whether it be jogging outside, going to the gym with friends or doing yoga like me! I did pre-natal yoga literally until I popped so do not let anyone tell you you can not exercise while pregnant because you can and should. (however, I will say that if you were not a runner before being pregnant I would not start while pregnant and obviously you do not want to be picking up heavy weights but there is many other exercises you can do while pregnant in the gym!)

PREPARING FOR THE BIRTH

I just want to touch on this subject lightly I will go into greater detail in another post and maybe even share my birth story. But what I will say for now that one of the best things I did while pregnant was taking a birthing class. Of course any birth is unpredictable but you can never be too prepared for one of the most exciting yet scary moments in your life. And I found that the more knowledge I had the better and more confident I felt. In my opinion the best birthing classes around are the BRADLEY METHOD. Not only do they prepare you for what is to come the class is a wealth of useful information that I was able to fall back on during the birth. I recommend taking this class when you get to your second trimester depending on how long the course is.

I hope you found all this information really useful and I wish all your mothers to be a happy and healthy pregnancy. Enjoy every moment as much as you can it goes by so fast!

Until next time stay styled right by being healthy! xoxo FSR

Is your belly starting to grow and your not sure what to put on it? Are you weary of stretch marks? If so you are in luck because just like you I was totally freaked out about my body changing and what I would look like after the bump was gone. Knowing that I immediately started doing everything I could to not only stay in shape but also keep those stretch marks from forming. Below are a few key things I did for a very low cost in order to keep those stretch marks away. And I can say with all honesty during my pregnancy I gained 35 lbs and DID NOT get ONE stretch mark! (Trust me just because products are expensive does not mean they work, I did not buy into the BIo Oil, Coco Butter Stretch Cream or any other expensive cream or oils and if you follow my instructions neither will you!)

HOW TO PREVENT STRETCH MARKS
STEP 1: LOOSE COTTON PAJAMAS - First thing you need to do is buy loose pajamas ones that you can use from the beginning to the end of your pregnancy. I ran really hot so I chose a cotton tank and shorts that supported my breasts and that allowed room for my growing belly. Once my pregnancy was over I threw these out they were definitely destroyed and gross but they served a great purpose!

STEP 2: VITAMIN E 400 OIL - This is the most important part, buy a large container of vitamin E in pill form.

STEP 3: APPLICATION - Each night before I would go to bed I would brake open two - three vitamin E pills and rub it all over my belly, bikini line, butt and breasts. I suggest where ever you feel your skin is stretching apply it there. Make sure you rub it in really well it will be really sticky. To offset the stickiness you can try mixing the vitamin e with Eucerin lotion.

STEP 4: ON THE GO - When I was on the go there were many times I wanted to scratch my skin and instead of doing that I used Natural Stretch Oil by Earth Mama. I NEVER SCRATCHED MY BELLY! BIG NO NO!!! This is a great product to use in the morning and during the day because it smells great and is not sticky. It helps keep your growing belly moisturized which is so important to prevent stretch marks.

STEP 5: STAY HYDRATED - You can put all the product you want on the outside of your belly but it will not make any difference if you are not staying hydrated so make sure you are drinking a ton of water.

*Now of course you may still get stretch marks due to genetics and other factors but I do know this will help minimize them and hopefully prevent them all together. I did this method every single day before I was even showing any signs of a baby bump! So make sure you do this each day doing it sparitically will not help. :)

Until next time my lovely mamas! Stay styled right. xoxo FSR

Keyes to Style tag:keyestostyle.com,2005:Post/34215532014-12-23T01:10:39-08:002021-06-05T03:19:33-07:00BABY LOVE... Kennedy's Favorite ProductsI figured since I did my top 12 favorite products as mama, it was only right that I do Kennedy's top 12 favorite products as well. Now you might think well she can not tell me what she loves but as a mom it becomes pretty easy to tell what your child likes and what they do not. So with that said these are Kennedy's favorite items over her first six months of being outside the womb!

TOP 12 FAVORITE PRODUCTS

1. Hevea Pacifier $10: This is by far the best pacifier we tried not only is it made of all natural latex rubber it is soft enough to chew and prevents from leaving marks around the mouth. If you have a picky baby that has yet to find a pacifier they like I swear this will be the one to change the game! I even love the cute little cutouts you can choose from such as crowns, ducks, moons and stars. Also, if you are breastfeeding it is important to use a pacifier that resembles a nipple so you can prevent nipple confusion. This one has a round head and a flat head option. Totally worth the extra few bucks!

2. Myla Moos Pacifier Clip $15: If your baby is like me and see's something they want to stick in their mouth that is more appealing than their pacifier...out pops the pacifier on to the dirty ground. Now I was really against buying a pacifier clip (because it just ruins an adorable outfit) but when it came time to travel with Kennedy for the first time I knew I had to give in. Of course we could not just get any normal pacifier clip, so I went on Etsy to find a few that would go with her outfits! I will be featuring those shops soon, so check back for that. Kennedy now not only loves being able to just grab her pacifier when she wants it she looks stylish doing it!3. Vulli Sophie the Giraffe Teether $20: This is by far Kennedy's favorite thing in mama's diaper bag. She has been playing with this teether since about two months old. She has enjoyed looking at it, squeezing it and now of course teething on it. It is the perfect size to hold and lots of different areas to grab onto for their small hands. It is also great because when I read her Sophie stories she is able to see that I am talking about the animal she is holding. 4. Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Bottles $22 (3-pack): I'll be honest we did not try any other bottles but after much research I felt this would be the best bottles for Kennedy and she took to them right away. Being that I am breastfeeding I wanted to make sure she would not have nipple confusion and this bottle was definitely the closest to an actual nipple. She is able to hold the bottle on her own with ease with no leakage. And being that she loves to do everything for herself she absolutely loves these bottles. Moreover, this brand has bottles for each phase for the growing process into an adult cup. She is currently using the 4+ month sippy cup. :) 5. Lamaze Flutterbug $15: This was the first toy Kennedy really took a liking to, I think it is the combination of black and white and contrasting colors from all angles as well as the easy areas to grab onto. She really loves that when she tugs on it and lets go it vibrates making it flutter as well as the different textures and noises she can feel and hear when she grabs it! This is a must have for every car ride! 6. Pottery Barn Kids Sherpa Stroller Blanket $40: Kennedy has tons of stroller blankets but she has taken a strong liking to this blanket. It is seriously the softest blanket I have ever felt so much so I had to buy it in adult size! And of course I think she loves that it has her name on it! 7. Cloud B Sleep Sheep Plush Sound Soother $25-30: Kennedy just loves this little sheep she sleeps to the sounds it makes for every nap and bed time each day. She has both sizes one for the crib and one for the stroller. It has truly been a life savor when we are out allowing her to drift to sleep anywhere. It also has an easy velcro attachment on the back which makes it easy for travel being able to hook on to almost anything. It makes four different sounds rain, ocean, heartbeat and whale (she loves them all). She has most recently taken a liking to the sheep as a cuddle buddy she is always trying to pet it, squeeze it or chew it. :)8. Cloud B Twilight Ladybug Constellation NIghtlight $35: At about two months old I discovered how much she loved lights which is common with many babies but she particularly loved looking up at them. After, looking at many products I came across the perfect nightlight the Twilight Ladybug now it is a staple for each bedtime. She loves looking up at the stars on her ceiling it's as if she is sleeping right underneath the real stars ! You can even change the color into red, green or blue. What is really wonderful is that it comes with a cute little story and has the real constellation of stars as well so when she gets older I can show her what she is looking at! 9. Lil' Sidekick $15: Ok now this is something both Kennedy and I love. It has been such a great accessory for her stroller, no more playing the drop game. What is so great is that it can hook onto any toy or bottle and it keeps them from falling on the ground. It comes in 5 different colors and what a steal for the price of no more dirty toys, bottles or hurting your back from bending over 24/7 picking up dropped items! 10. Sheepskin Stroller Liner $60: Yes, you read that right Kennedy has a sheepskin stroller liner and she totally loves it I mean what child wouldn't. It keeps her temperature just right all while being comfortable cruising in her stroller. No stroller seat should be without one of these, because really stroller seats by themselves do not look very comfortable and if you want to enjoy a day out with your baby this is a great head start!11. Baby Banana Bendable Teething Toothbrush $9: I cannot take credit for this awesome find. Kennedy's Dolly (Grandmother) found it for her and she instantly light up when she gave it to her. She had just started teething and this really helped massage the gums and is really easy to hold. I also stick this in the freezer so when she is in a lot of pain this really helps to ease it. 12. Fisher Price Rock-A-Stack $9: I think this toy has been around long before I was even born and it is such a staple in any toy box. Kennedy loves the bright colored rings and enjoys trying to stack them on top of each other as well as throwing them and watching the tower rock back and forth. A timeless toy that she will be loving until she is two!
Until next time mamas stay styled right with your mini's on your side! xoxo FSRKeyes to Style tag:keyestostyle.com,2005:Post/34106192014-12-17T11:47:27-08:002017-01-15T12:48:08-08:00For the Love of Baby... 12 Favorite ProductsLast September I found out I was going to be having my first born the following May. At first I was totally excited and than reality set in and I started thinking I know nothing about baby products and what I need. I totally freaked out because there are endless things to know about raising a child on top of knowing what products I needed have. Just to bring your baby home there was a huge list! So feeling completely overwhelmed I started Googling anything and everything about babies. I have officially become the Google Queen by my family because I literally sat on Google for nine months researching each and every product my little bundle of joy was going to need for her first six months of life. I wanted the safest, most multi-functional, user friendly, stylish product of each item. My thought was just because I was becoming a mother did not mean I could not be fashionable while having a baby in toe. I was determined to be the most stylish and safest mother I could be. With that being said I definitely had my work cut out for me because if you are a mother or are pregnant with your first you know that are a million different products out there and determining which is the best was embarking on a large task that would be never ending. So thanks to my endless hours of research about strollers, car seats, bathtubs, breast pumps, high chairs etc. I have created a list of the top 12 products (in the spirit of the 12 days of Christmas) you need that you and your baby will equally love and will be a lasting product for either one child or a growing family...

TOP 12 FAVORITE PRODUCTS
1. Britax B-Safe Infant Car Seat $125: The most important baby product of them all the one that will protect your precious cargo. This was the first thing I started researching when I found out I was pregnant. I knew it was so vital to have the safest car seat on the market. And after many months of research this car seat won because of its crash tested side, rear and front impact protection. It has a super easy base to install and has a user friendly guide for making sure it is at the correct incline. It also has a separate cushion attachment that has been crash tested approved so your babe is extra secure from all angles and is comfortable to boot. And of course it is compatible with the best stroller too!

2. City Select Stroller $500: My husband likes to call it the Porche of strollers. There is literally nothing that this stroller cannot do. It can go over any type of ground whether it be grass, sand, gravel etc; it can handle it all while your little one barely feels a thing. it can hold up to three children; yes you heard that right THREE children and all while still being able to fit through most retail aisles. And if you know about strollers with that many kids on it that is nothing short of amazing. It has a large storage compartment on bottom that can hold a very large weight amount. I kid you not I saw a mom with one that had her four year old son taking a nap in the storage area. lol. Now, I am not recommending you do that I am just letting you know it can hold a ton. It also opens and closes very easily and of course all while looking totally sleek and modern. It also comes in a variety of colors and has many different attachments depending on what stage your child is in. I seriously could go on and on about this stroller. Just remember if you are a mom on the go a stroller is something you will use a ton so you want something durable and that is user friendly. Yes, it may be a little more than your typical stroller but what you are getting for the price is amazing so go ahead and splurge on this product I promise you will not regret it.

3. 4Moms Bathtub $50: If you are a first time mom this is definitely something I am sure you will want to add to your list. Because we all know as first time moms we are extra cautious when we first bring our bundles of joy home. We want to make sure we have everything they need to be safe and nothing harmful. This can put all parents minds at ease when it comes to finding the right temperature of water for their little ones. Not only does it find the perfect temperature of water it constantly keeps the water fresh so your little one is not bathing in dirty water. And of course I love that it is comfortable for baby and keeps them from sliding down; even at seven months my daughter sits comfortably in it. This is the only bathtub like this on the market that has all these wonderful features and whats even better is the price. My daughter is now 7 months old and she is still using it.
4. Medela Pump In Style Advanced Breast Pump On-The-Go Tote $225 For all my breastfeeding mamas the most important thing you can have if you are going to pump is one that works really well. If you have a bad pump it can really screw up your milk supply and of course hurt your nipples. Medela by far is the best on the market and yes it is pricey but the money you save in breastfeeding compared to having to buy formula will still save you a lot in the long run. I particularly love this version of the Medela pump because you can be hands free while you pump (you do have to buy the bra to attach to pumps). Nothing worse than pumping one side at a time which takes forever and not to mention it actually is less efficient as well. Furthermore, if you are a mom on the go it's great because you can get the car attachment and pump in your car if needed or use battery pack. And of course if you are a fashionable working mama having a tote that is discreet is an extra bonus.

5. Juicy Leopard Diaper Bag $250: When it comes to diaper bags it comes down to personal preference however, I will say I have got endless compliments on this bag due to its design and of course fabric! I love that it has so many compartments on the front and back that it is easy to clean and comes with a changing pad and wipe holder. I also love that you can adjust the straps to wear over the shoulder or across the body.
6. Sassy Inspire Sensory Bounce -A- Round $80: When it came time to buy a bouncer we decided the best thing to do was take Kennedy to the store and let her check them out. I already had the one I wanted in my mind picked out but I wanted to see what she liked since she was going to be the one bouncing in it. :) I found that Sassy makes great visually stimulating products. Since babies can only see black and white in the beginning and then red next this was at the top of my list. Not to mention it has four different heights so it grows with you baby as well as it has many activities on it as well as additional toys you can buy to switch it up if they get bored. Oh and did I mention it has a door attachment too; seriously what a deal right! And of course its super easy to take the seat apart and wash. PS. I love all things Sassy! Besides Fisher Price I feel they really have the best products for developing our little ones.
7. JJ Cole Stretch Wrap Carrier $35: If you are a baby wearing mama or plan to be this by far is my favorite, not only is it user friendly but it is comfortable for mama and baby and of course looks fashionable too. This was definitely a life saver in the early months when I needed to get things done around the house and my little princess wanted to be close to me. She would fall right asleep because she was wrapped up close to me. It slips on like a shirt and your little one has the ability to sit inwards and outwards and can be used up until they are 35lbs.
8. Baby Banz Ear Muffs $35: I believe it is our duty as parents to do everything we can to keep our children safe and it amazes me how many parents I see ruining their children's hearing from the very beginning. Babies ears are very sensitive and this product really protects. These are a staple in my diaper bag because anytime we go to concerts or to church I just put these on and her ears are instantly protected. What is even better is they are comfortable and actually allows her to take a great nap too and drown out the noise. She is still able to hear it just cuts off the high pitch sounds. These come in multiple colors.
9. Fisher Price My Little Lamb Platinum Edition Cradle N' Swing $170: In the beginning when Kennedy was first home it was so hard for her to fall asleep I knew there had to be something that would cradle her and help her to sleep so I could get some sleep too. This swing was one of the best investments not only did she love sleeping in it she loved playing in it as well. It has 16 songs and four nature sounds (which most babies love), two recline positions, three adjustable seat positions and of course it is comfortable too. What I really loved to was that it lights up and the little sheep move around, there is just so much to look at it really keeps babies attention. Easy to wash and use.
10. Munchkin Deluxe Drying Rack $7: At first I felt bottle drying racks were pointless until I started using the bottles and pumping thus realizing how many little things had to be cleaned. So I finally went and searched for one that I could easily store when not in use and that did not take up very much counter space. This by far is my favorite it can hold eight bottles and tons of extra parts. So cheap and very handy!

11. NuRoo Breastfeeding Cover-Up Scarf $30: I was totally that pregnant woman that looked at pregnancy clothes and nursing clothes thinking oh my gosh what am I going to do. I want to be a mother but I am not sacrificing my style for it. So I went on the hunt looking for a nursing cover that did not look like a nursing cover. My favorite is this one that is breathable, light weight, stretchy, and comfortable for baby and me and most importantly functional. What I love even more that when I am not using it as a cover up it can be worn as a normal scarf. Oh and not to mention I have never had a slip up in public! :)
12. OXO HIgh Chair $250: Being that I have a very modern home I had to make sure the high chair fit in as well. With that being said this one I found to not only be modern but the most functional, durable and the ability to grow with your child over their first five years. It has an easy adjustable seat, footrest and tray and moreover easy cushions to clean. It comes in multiple wood colors and cushion colors to fit every home's color scheme.

Happy Shopping my fashionista mamas! With that said WELCOME... to "Mom's Corner" new blogs that will hopefully inspire mom's from all different backgrounds and stages in their children's lives. I have definitely come to know some amazing baby products that every mom should not be without and some that can be left in the store. :) I have the tendency to do a ton of research before I buy any product making sure its safe, user friendly and of course multifunctional. With that being said I have eliminated all the hassle for you and now you will have full access to all things baby and mommy will need in the first six months and other awesome fashion tips I have learned along the way. So enjoy mamas...
Inspire smart children. Isn't that what all parents wish? To create smart well-rounded children that can one day go off on their own and make a life for themselves. Our children are given to us to nurture, teach and develop into amazing human beings. They are a gift/blessing from God and it is our duty to provide all the tools for them to excel. So what better way then books! Did you know that besides talking to your infants; reading books to your babies help them tremendously in learning. It teaches them about color, words, sounds and much more. Now you may be asking what books do i buy for my child. If you are like me; a first time mom, then knowing which books are best will be a challenge in the beginning.

Here are a few important key factors when picking out books:
1. Find books that repeat words or phrases frequently.
2. Graphics that are outlined in black are very important they allow for babies to see the images easier.
3. Bright contrasting colors
4. Round edges so babies can chew on and not hurt their gums

Ok now that you know what to look for I want to tell you about my favorite children's publisher "Usborne". Many people are not familiar with this publisher but they should. The author creates books with the thought that every child is born a genius and caters to them in that way. Currently, Kennedy's favorite books are by Usborne, the series that we read daily is called "That's Not My...". They have over 25 different "Thats Not My..." books. They are great because each page engages a child through bright colors, touch and feel, sound and of course easy text. Aside from this series there are tons of educational books for children of all ages. Usborne will definitely be a staple in Kennedy's book collection as it should be in your little one's as well!! There is nothing more fashionable then a smart child hanging on to your hand. They are your best accessory!

Until next time stay fashionable with your mini's in tow mamas! xoxo FSR

Ps. If there are any topics you are interested in me talking about let me know I am always open to suggestions since this blog is all for you!
Keyes to Style tag:keyestostyle.com,2005:Post/34310832014-06-01T11:25:00-07:002017-01-15T12:48:09-08:00Stylish Post Pregnancy

I thought what better to write about than how to dress post pregnancy since this is my current wardrobe as well. I know after you have a child its almost worse than when you were pregnant because you bust out all your old clothes thinking you will fit right back into it and or you are nursing and some tops are just not conducive for that (I know I did lol). Unfortunately, for most it will take some time due to your uterus has to contract back down and well if your breast feeding you can forget most of your tight tops because they wont fit.
Of course, you try to put on the pregnancy clothes but now they are baggy and unflattering and really who wants to wear those after, I know I was excited to box those up until next time. So talk about frustrating… maternity clothes are too big and your pre-pregnancy wardrobe is too small, so now your scratching your head questioning what to wear for the in-between time? Well ladies I have the answers below so get ready to become the fashionable new and improved you!
First of all, the best thing you can do is embrace your new and what I like to call improved body. There is something sexy about a woman’s body that has transitioned into motherhood. I know many men will agree with me on this. :) The next thing is to get the correct undergarments so that the clothes fit properly. I can never stress enough how important the undergarments are when it comes to dressing everyday especially now. It can really make or a break an outfit. With that said a few key items you need are as follows:

Belly Bandit: This will be your best friend for the first few months it will not only help your body slim back down permanently, it will give you a slimmer trim immediately and just make you feel more confident. You may need to start with a larger size and then work your way down it will just depend on what fits.

Hip Slimmer: For some of you ladies I know you are concerned about your hips that have widened! Well, worry no more they now make hip slimming compression corsets, who ever would have thought!

New bras: I am sure you are a pro by now visiting your favorite lingerie store, given that you probably shopped every few months for your ever growing breasts. There is nothing worse than wearing a bra that is too tight. So get get measured and be proud of your new size. Oh and look for bras with no wire, t-shirt bras are great!

Ok now that you have the undergarments its time to shop in your closet and see what will work and what you will need to shop for…. I also would advise to take anything out of your closet that does not currently fit and put it in a different closet or to the back of yours if you do not have an extra one. This way you wont get frustrated with the clothes that do not fit and it will take less time to dress each morning, you will only be flipping through clothes that look great on you!

Stretchy Fabric: Nothing is better than stretchy fabric when your in between different sizes. Search your closet for stretchy skirts, leggings, dresses and tops. These will be your base to create your new wardrobe around. Stretchy leggings are especially great for those mamas who have had c-sections.

Loose blouses: These are another great top to look for in your closet. Most likely they will still fit with your new chest size and will conceal any extra in your tummy.

Now that you have shopped your own closet its time to get a few things to complete your new look. One of my favorites for this summer is the ever classic maxi dresses. Not only are they figure flattering they are light weight for those hot summer days. Another few great stables are open sweaters and blazers. They can be thrown over your stretchy tops and loose blouses.

Last but not least accessories. Who said you can’t accessorize with a newborn. Yes I agree put away your nice necklaces, earrings and handbags away. Save those for a special occasion.

Teething Jewelry: If you haven’t heard the new craze is teething jewelry and the best part about them is they don’t even look like teething jewelry. They have so many options in styles and colors I am sure you will find something you like.

Diaper Bags: Forget carrying a purse and just invest in a nice durable diaper bag, something you can wear for a few years that is versatile. A few of my favorite brands are Juicy, Kate Spade, Ju-Ju-Be, Gucci, Burberry and Marc Jacobs. This would be one of the items you could splurge on since its going to be something you wear daily. Make sure you wear the bag and the bag does not wear you.

FOR MY NURSING MAMAS

Clean out your closet of all tops and dresses that are not conducive for breast feeding that way you don’t get frustrated wanting to wear tops that you currently can not. Either put them in a different closet or in the back of your current closet.

Nursing Bra: These are an essential if you are nursing. And I will tell you that wired nursing bras are the devil. Who needs a wire bra anyways your breasts are most likely bigger than you are use to or maybe finally the size you always wanted and no reason to enhance them anymore. I found that comfortability is the key to motherhood. So look for cotton bras and I am right there with you if you want to feel cute and sexy, those are definitely available in cotton. They even have workout nursing sports bra for those mamas trying to get back in shape! Target, H&M and Macy’s have great selections at very reasonable prices.

Nursing tops: Because comfortability is the key nursing tops are my absolute favorite. You can feel supported without having a million layers on and really easy to nurse when you are running about the town. These can be found at Macys, Target and H&M to name a few.

Button/zip downs: Best tops and really the only tops you can wear while nursing. So dig through your closet for those you currently have and if needed go out and buy a few more. Great places to shop for these are Express, Banana Republic and Macys.

Nursing scarf: So if you are like me you dreaded nursing covers because truly they are way out to date and look like your are getting ready to cook something in the kitchen. Well don’t stress ladies because I found a great alternative they are called nursing scarfs. What I love about them is you can wear them so many different ways and they are very stylish and can be worn all day with your outfit if you want. These can be found at Buy Buy Baby, Babies R Us and Etsy.

So who said you couldn’t be fashionable while nursing or getting your pre-pregnancy body back, NOT I! Ok my fashionista mamas…until next time stay styled right. xoxo FSR

Keyes to Style tag:keyestostyle.com,2005:Post/34109292014-01-01T13:10:00-08:002017-01-15T12:48:09-08:00Stylish Baby BumpBeing a new expectant mother brought on new challenges in my wardrobe as I am sure it has yours as well if you have expected or are currently. As a stylist I took this on as a styling challenge since there was no way I was going to head to the maternity department. Staying stylish while my baby bump continues to grow (not to mention my chest as well) is a must. :) Not until about week 13 did I actually notice that my pants were getting tight, from there it spiraled to my dresses not zipping and my favorite pieces going on the shelf until next year. This is when I decided my new wardrobe had to began! And I do not mean buying a whole new wardrobe, I just mean adjusting the way I wear my wardrobe. So you ask what are my secrets? How am I accommodating my growing belly? Well here are my 5 tips and tricks and as I grow even bigger I am sure I will have even more to share!

Tips & Tricks:

1. Get BRA fitting: Ladies if you think you are going to stay the same size while your baby bump is growing you are crazy. Trust me are boobs is one of the first things to start growing and trust me there is nothing worse than in ill fitting bra. Plus, if you want to keep your boobs perky wearing the right size bra is truly important. :) I would recommend just buying one nude and one black. If your boobs grow out of that size then do the same thing and get the next size up that you need. DO NOT buy a bra to large thinking you will grow into it. Be the size you are TODAY! (Also, put all the bras the currently do not fit in your wardrobe into a bag and store in your closet, you do not need to be bothered with those at the moment.) Embrace your new found curves!

Example: When you get the appropriate bra size you boobs look even better! :) I was 4 months pregnant here!

2. Buy for TODAY: I think many make this mistake. Buying to large to either try and hide the baby bump or thinking buy larger so you will grow into it later is exactly what you do not want to do. Instead you should be embracing your beautiful miracle at the stage you are currently at and buying for your current size. Trying to hide it only makes you look larger and over weight instead of pregnant! :)

This is what happens when you buy clothes trying to cover your bump! (Not styled right)

This is how stylish you can look when you buy the right size! (Styled right)

3. STRETCHY fabric is your new best friend: When things started to fit tight I went through my wardrobe put all my stretchy items towards the front of my closet. Leggings, skirts and dresses that are stretchy are now my current favorite pieces in my wardrobe. I also then put all my tops that were looser to the front as well. That way I wouldn't waste time trying things on I knew were to small for the current moment.

5 months pregnant here! Amazing what stretchy skirts can do! Both these items were already currently in my closet.

4. Belly Band: These belly bands were one of my first purchases I made. I knew that I loved all my jeans and buying a bunch of maternity jeans just did not seem appealing. What is great about these belly bands is that they allow for your growing belly all through the pregnancy. They help hold your jeans up and save you a ton of money on buying new jeans. You can find these at target only $16, I bought them in every color!

5. Buy a few pieces through each stage: Of course the inevitable will happen and you will need to buy a few things for your growing belly so make sure as you go shopping that these items are comfortable, not too tight and again are stretchy fabric. That way even if you grow a little you will not have grown out of it so fast. :) Try to intermix these items with things you are still fitting in your current wardrobe.

Only dress I have bought since becoming pregnant! And I love it, not only does it fit my style it shows off my cute baby bump and still room to grow in it!
